Super-sub Fotheringham snatches win

Substitute Martyn Fotheringham grabbed a late winner as leaders Forfar finally broke the resistance of rock-bottom Stirling in a 2-1 victory.

The visitors looked set to become only the second team this season to leave Station Park with a point but were undone in the 81st minute when Fotheringham headed in from Mark Baxter's cross just seven minutes after coming off the bench.

Forfar had threatened in the 16th minute when Baxter's shot was parried by Callum Reidford and they broke the deadlock 10 minutes later through defender Darren Dods after Stirling failed to clear Stephen Husband's corner.

The visitors were back on level terms in first-half injury time, though, when Alex Cunningham did well to pick out Steven Doris and he found the corner of the net with a low shot, but they could not hold on for a share of the spoils.
