The Czech Republic international has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge but his representative insists he will stay for the duration of the season
Petr Cech’s agent has stressed that the Chelsea goalkeeper will not leave the club during the January transfer window.
The shot stopper has been relegated to the bench in recent months, with Thibaut Courtois returning from three consecutive loan spells with Atletico Madrid to take the No.1 shirt at Stamford Bridge.
Cech’s lack of playing time – the 32-year-old has made just one Premier League appearance this season, against Arsenal – has led to reports that he could leave the Premier League leaders, with the likes of Roma, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool all reportedly interested, though Arsene Wenger recently denied any interest in the stopper.
The former Rennes man's representative Viktor Kolar, however, has made it clear that the Italian club have not tabled an official bid and insists his client will remain at Stamford Bridge until at least the summer.
"There has been no contact with AS Roma,” he told the Evening Standard. “Certainly Petr will not move during the transfer market in January."
Cech's contract with Chelsea is due to expire in the summer of 2016.
