Crawley Town vs Chesterfield preview - Miller's time to shine

Posted Friday, November 28, 2014 by PA

Shaun Miller is in line to make his Crawley debut against Chesterfield.

The striker has joined Town on a one-month loan from Coventry and is set to line up alongside top scorer Izale McLeod in attack.

Lanre Oyebanjo is likely to miss out again with a thigh problem but fellow defender Dean Leacock is playing on despite a wrist injury.

Josh Simpson and Matt Harrold, who were unlikely to figure anyway after being transfer-listed recently, have been struggling with knocks.

Chesterfield will have Sam Morsy available after suspension.

The combative midfielder is expected to slot straight back into the Spireites' starting line-up after serving a one-match ban against Barnsley. Ollie Banks, who deputised for Morsy last weekend, has since joined Northampton on loan.

Blues boss Paul Cook has some players nursing knocks but nothing that is expected to result in a new injury absence.

Defenders Sam Hird (knee) and Drew Talbot (groin) played in a practice match this week and are edging closer to a return to first-team contention.
