Coventry vs Walsall preview - Trio still out for Coventry

Posted Friday, November 28, 2014 by PA

Coventry are still without Danny Pugh, Seb Hines and Jordan Willis for the visit of Walsall.

Defenders Hines and Willis, both hamstring, are sidelined while Pugh is a long-term absentee with an ankle injury.

Goalkeeper Lee Burge is available again after suspension following his red card in the FA Cup defeat to Worcester.

Midfielder James Maddison, 18, could feature after he scored twice in Coventry's 4-3 FA Youth Cup win over Rochdale on Wednesday.

Tom Bradshaw and Sam Mantom are rated 50-50 for the Saddlers' trip to the Ricoh Arena.

Nine-goal top scorer Bradshaw is still suffering with a hamstring injury and Mantom is yet to fully recover from a knee problem.

Romaine Sawyers - who scored the winner at Fleetwood last week - is in line to deputise again while left-back Mal Benning (knee) is fit.

Saddlers boss Dean Smith said: "Jon Whitney (physio) will have a final look at Tom and Sam and I'm hopeful but knowing how thorough Jon is nothing will be left to chance."
