Oxford are set to hand new signing Cheyenne Dunkley a debut against AFC Wimbledon.
The Kidderminster defender joined the U's on Thursday and has been registered in time to make his United bow this weekend, possibly from the start.
At the other end of the pitch Michael Appleton could stick with youngster James Roberts as a lone forward after the 19-year-old scored three goals in his first two professional starts.
Callum O'Dowda staked his claim for a start with a goal in midweek as Oxford's development side lost 3-2 to Bournemouth.
AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley will have to make at least one change to the side which beat York in Tuesday's FA Cup replay.
Winger Sean Rigg collected his fifth booking of the season during the 3-1 victory and serves a one-match ban.
Sammy Moore or Ade Azeez could therefore come into the starting line-up as the Dons go in search of their first league win on the road since August.
Defender Andy Frampton is the only injury concern, having missed the last three matches after turning the ankle he broke during pre-season.
