Hibernian FC vs Queen of South preview - McGeouch missing for Hibs

Hibernian will be without Dylan McGeouch for the Scottish Championship visit of Queen of the South.

McGeouch underwent minor surgery on his ankle on Thursday.

Dominique Malonga is away on international duty and goalkeeper Mark Oxley will be assessed at the last moment after going off with a back injury at Cowdenbeath last weekend.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said: "I think we have grown into the Championship and have started to produce performances and results.

"We need to keep building momentum. I feel we are improving every week. I still think there's a lot more to come and the players are working exceptionally hard."

Queen of the South have Gavin Reilly available after injury but Chris Mitchell (back), Paul Burns (knee), Stephen McKenna (heel), Michael Paton (hamstring) and Greg Kiltie (concussion) are all ruled out and Mark Kerr is an injury doubt.

Palmerston boss James Fowler said: "We were the last side to defeat Hibs and I'm sure that they will be out to make up for that. They have improved since that game so we are going to have to play really well to take anything.

"We have taken 10 points from our last four games so we are in confident mood and will look to take the game to our opponents."
