Forest Green Rovers vs Scunthorpe United preview - Hughes set for Rovers return

Forest Green are confident Lee Hughes will return for Sunday's visit of Sky Bet League One Scunthorpe in the FA Cup first round.

The 38-year-old has missed the last two matches with a chest infection but manager Ady Pennock confirmed Hughes is back in full training.

In-form winger James Norwood is likely to feature after bagging four goals in two games while Chris Stokes is pushing for a recall following his recovery from injury.

Defender Luke Oliver may make his first start since suffering a hamstring strain but the match could come too soon for James Jennings and Aarran Racine.

Scunthorpe's on-loan pair Shaun Brisley and Bobby Olejnik are both in contention after missing out against parent club Peterborough last week.

Boss Mark Robins must decide whether to recall defender Brisley and goalkeeper Olejnik to his starting line-up or retain Miguel Llera and fit-again Sam Slocombe after his side's win at London Road.

Robins could be without loanees Luke Williams (Middlesbrough) and Luke O'Neill (Burnley), but has no new injury or suspension problems.

Full-back Eddie Nolan could be back in contention after his recent return to full training, while Sean McAllister, Billy Kee and Jennison Myrie-Williams are among those pushing for recalls.
