Dumbarton vs Glasgow Rangers preview - Turner back for Sons

Posted Friday, October 24, 2014 by PA

Dumbarton welcome back Chris Turner to their squad after an ankle injury as the Sons host Rangers at the Bet Butler Stadium for the very first time.

Missing from manager Ian Murray's plans is Hugh Murray, who has a calf problem, with on-loan St Johnstone striker Chris Kane a doubt due to a knee injury.

The Dumbarton boss said: "This is another really tough game after visits to Hibs and Hearts but it is a great occasion for the club.

"We lost 5-1 to a very strong Hearts side but we can move on from that quickly as we had been on a great run before that result."

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has no fresh injuries.

Defender Marius Zaliukas (knee) and goalkeeper Cammy Bell (shoulder) remain on the sidelines.

Centre-back Bilel Mohsni is also suspended.
