Coventry vs Peterborough preview - Pugh blow for Sky Blues

Danny Pugh needs an operation on his ankle and will be out for a month.

Reda Johnson (groin) and Frank Nouble (hip) have returned to training but will not be risked as boss Steven Pressley is wary about rushing them back to action.

He told the Coventry Telegraph: "Danny Pugh needs a slight operation and will be out for a month. Frank Nouble and Reda joined training on Thursday but the weekend will come too soon. We can't throw them in and have them out for a further five weeks. That would be incredibly detrimental."

Michael Bostwick will be available for Peterborough.

Bostwick, along with central defensive partner Jack Baldwin, was sent off during the defeat at Crewe in midweek but Posh have won their appeal against his red card and he, unlike Baldwin, escapes a one-match ban.

Christian Burgess, out recently with a hip problem, is rated at 50/50 to be fit in time for Saturday's trip so Gabriel Zakuani looks likely to start alongside Bostwick, while the likes of Luke James, Erhun Oztumer, Kane Ferdinand, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Kenneth McEvoy are options for manager Darren Ferguson should he wish to make changes elsewhere.

Midfielder Grant McCann (groin) and striker Kyle Vassell (foot) could be available next weekend.
