Shrewsbury Town vs Cheltenham Town preview - Grant set for Shrews bow

Shrewsbury will have Bobby Grant available for Saturday's clash with Cheltenham after signing the striker on loan from Blackpool.

The 24-year-old has had few opportunities to shine since joining the Seasiders in July 2013 but had previously enjoyed successful spells at Rochdale, Scunthorpe and Accrington.

"For myself, it's about getting out there and playing," said Grant on his new club's website. "I can score goals at this level, I've proved that throughout my career. I can't wait to get started now."

Shrewsbury have scored just two goals in their last eight matches but Andy Mangan is clear to return from suspension, while youth-team midfielder Josh Ginnelly looked lively when coming on at Plymouth last week and could now push for a start.

Cheltenham could hand Wolves forward Eusebio Bancessi his debut when they make the trip.

The 19-year-old Portuguese arrived on a one-month loan deal on Thursday and will go straight into the Robins squad as they look to get back to winning ways.

Despite scoring his first goal for nearly a year in their 3-1 loss to Bristol City on Wednesday, striker Terry Gornell may not be involved against the Shrews having asked to be placed on the transfer list.

The Robins have not won any of their last six games in all competitions.
