Roma have confirmed that they have no plans to sell Manchester United target Kevin Strootman.
The Dutch international has been out of action since March after suffering a knee injury which kept him out of this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
Despite his injury, speculation surrounding the midfielder has been high, with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal keen to team up with Strootman after working him with during his time in charge of Holland.
It had been previously been reported that United were preparing a January bid for Strootman, but Roma's general manager Mauro Baldissoni has told the Premier League side to forget about it.
"We can't wait until Kevin is back on the pitch," Baldissoni told Sky Italia.
"We miss him a lot, but he is getting closer to his return. We are proud that Kevin is part of our squad and he is not for sale."
