Notts County 1 : 1 Leyton Orient - Slade sweats on future after draw

Russell Slade's job as Leyton Orient boss remains in the balance after his side could only draw 1-1 at Notts County.

Ahead of the trip to Meadow Lane, under-pressure Slade had been warned by new Orient owner Francesco Becchetti that he had 'one game to sort out' the Londoners' poor start to the season.

Chris Dagnall's 51st-minute penalty salvaged a draw after Zeli Ismail had put the hosts ahead from the spot in the first half.

The result leaves last year's beaten play-off finalists rooted in the relegation zone with just one win all season.

Orient started well with Scott Cuthbert heading against the crossbar and David Mooney firing just wide as the visitors came out fighting for their boss.

Ismail put Notts ahead after 25 minutes with a penalty after Nathan Clarke had fouled Jake Cassidy.

Michael Petrasso failed to find the target with a long range effort as Orient started the second half well.

But the visitors levelled when Dagnall calmly sent Roy Carroll the wrong way from the spot after Curtis Thompson tripped Mooney in the box.

Bradley Pritchard, Mooney and Darius Henderson all failed to hit the target as Orient pushed for the winner in the closing stages.
