Milton Keynes Dons 1 : 2 Bradford AFC - Bantams down Dons

Billy Clarke made the most of a late call-up to score what turned out to be the winning as Bradford won 2-1 at MK Dons thanks to two quick goals in the first half.

After James Hanson pulled out following the warm-up, Clarke was drafted into the starting line-up and made the most of his chance as the Bantams won for the third away game in succession.

Bradford went ahead after 24 minutes when Billy Knott's corner found Aaron Mclean, who did not connect cleanly with his head but the ball drifted into the net.

Two minutes later the Bantams doubled their lead when Clarke picked off Dele Alli's sloppy pass before smashing his shot into the bottom corner of the net.

The Dons gave themselves a lifeline before the break after visiting goalkeeper Jordan Pickford fumbled Samir Carruthers' free-kick and skipper Dean Lewington scored with a shot through a crowd of defenders.

Bradford wasted a great chance to make the end of the game more comfortable when Mark Yeates shot tamely at David Martin with 14 minutes remaining but the visitors held on for the win.
