Cambridge produced a stunning second-half comeback to secure their first away win of the season for boss Richard Money as they saw off Dagenham 3-2.
The Daggers just about deserved their one-goal lead at the interval, handed to them by Luke Howell.
He powered in a header from close range after meeting Jamie Cureton's pinpoint cross.
Earlier, veteran Cureton had gone close to opening the scoring himself when he planted a header inches wide.
Cambridge's best efforts of the first half both came from Jayden Stockley, who headed just wide and then was thwarted by a brave clock from Abu Ogogo.
Ogogo almost made it 2-0, only for his shot to drift narrowly wide.
The visitors evened it courtesy of a classy finish in the 54th minute. Ryan Donaldson curled in an exquisite 25-yard free-kick after Ashley Hemmings had upended Harrison Dunk.
Seven minutes later Donaldson turned provider as he crossed in for Michael Nelson, who headed home to put Cambridge in front.
Substitute Ryan Bird made it 3-1 when he converted another Donaldson cross from close range, though the hosts had the final word with eight minutes left when George Porter forced a tense finish.
