Costa and Fabregas are the best summer buys: Chelsea praised for £60m Spain swoop

CHELSEA'S new Spanish duo Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa were the best signings of the transfer window, according to former Blue Dave Beasant.
Beasant, who most famously saved a penalty in Wimbledon's shock FA Cup final win over Liverpool in 1988, reckons the additions of Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas will see the west Londoners finish top of the pile.
"The two singings they brought in [Costa and Fabregas] I think was the best money spent in the transfer window”

"And Courtois coming in goal, ahead of Petr Cech, means he's got to perform every week.
"I think it was the time to bring him back [Courtois]. He's just won the Champions League so he's played at the highest level.
DOUBLE TROUBLE: Beasant reckons £32m Costa and £30m Fabregas are the best buys of the summer
"Cech's performances during his time at Chelsea have been phenomenal, but you've got to start looking to the future, and Courtois is the future.
Cech's demotion to second-choice has led to suggestions that he will leave the club in January in pursuit of regular first-team action.
Real Madrid, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain have all been touted as possible destinations for the Czech Republic ace.
And Beasant reckons he may struggle to get used to not playing every week, after spending 10 years as the Blues' undisputed No.1.
"Once you're used to being first-choice goalkeeper, you want to be first-choice keeper," he added.
"I think he's biding his time to see if there are any hiccups so he can say 'I'm here', but I can't see Petr Cech sitting on the bench for too long."
