Stranraer 2 : 2 Brechin City - Stirling strike secures Blues point
Posted Sunday, August 24, 2014 by PA
Stephen Stirling netted a last-minute equaliser to earn Stranraer a 2-2 draw at home to Brechin.
The former Rangers midfielder blasted in from close range, following a goalmouth scramble, despite missing a similar chance just seconds earlier.
Brechin looked to be racing clear with two goals inside 24 minutes after Colin Hamilton opened the scoring with a neat header before Craig Molloy drilled expertly beyond Chris Fahey before the break.
The momentum switched after the interval, though, as Adam Forde pulled one back for Stranraer, driving past Graeme Smith courtesy of a tidy pass by Jamie Longworth.
And Stirling was in the right place at the right time to complete the comeback with seconds to go.
