Ángel Di María, who has been heavily tipped to leave Real Madrid this summer, was greeted with a standing ovation by the Bernabéu crowd when he came on for Luka Modric in the 77th minute of the Spanish Super Cup first leg.
The 'Los Blancos' faithful also made a point of applauding Di María's every contribution after his introduction, including a trademark surge down the left flank that had the fans on their feet.
