Hartlepool vs Dagenham & Redbridge preview - Pools sweating on several

Hartlepool boss Colin Cooper has several players carrying slight knocks and facing late fitness tests for Tuesday night's League Two clash with Dagenham & Redbridge at Victoria Park.

Stuart Parnaby went into Saturday's 2-0 home loss to Bury nursing a foot injury sustained on the opening day at Stevenage and came off after 74 minutes versus the Shakers.

Ryan Brobbel came off the bench to make his home debut and will now push for a starting role, while fellow summer signing Michael Woods is waiting for his first league action after only featuring in the Capital One Cup so far.

"I think if you look at the half chances, we just need to do a bit better; we had a couple of flurries but Bury get off and running while we remain frustrated," said Cooper of the weekend loss. "We had Bury firmly on the back foot at times but we weren't good enough to break them down."

Striker Christian Doidge could make his first appearance for the Daggers since signing from Carmarthen Town last Friday.

Manager Wayne Burnett was furious with his side after Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Burton where they conceded two goals in the last six minutes.

Summer arrival and veteran striker Jamie Cureton grabbed their only goal of the game and is likely to continue in attack.

Question marks however, linger over central defenders Brian Saah and Scott Doe after Dagenham's late capitulation, which could see a recall for Nathan Green.
