Shrewsbury vs Accrington preview - Mellon to tinker with Shrews

Boss Micky Mellon will make changes as Shrewsbury host Accrington - with Andy Mangan pushing to start.

The striker came off the bench to bag the equaliser in Town's last-gasp 2-1 win over Tranmere on Saturday.

Defender Mark Ellis is out for at least a month after suffering a knee injury in Town's Capital One Cup win over Blackpool last week and will see a specialist.

Mickey Demetriou, who scored the injury-time winner at the weekend, should keep his place after coming in for Ellis in a defensive reshuffle.

Accrington have doubts over captain Luke Joyce and defender Michael Liddle once again.

A groin injury has kept Joyce on the sidelines since the first game of the season while Liddle missed Saturday's defeat to Cheltenham with a knock.

Midfielder Piero Mingoia could be welcomed back after dropping to the bench at the weekend due to tactical reasons.

Stanley have no other injury concerns but manager James Beattie may consider changes after three straight losses to open the new campaign.
