Rotherham vs Watford preview - Hall winning fitness race

Posted Monday, August 18, 2014 by PA

Rotherham should have Ryan Hall available for the clash with Watford.

Hall picked up an ankle injury when he scored the only goal of the game in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Wolves and had to come off straight away to be replaced by Kieran Agard.

Boss Steve Evans will monitor Agard's frame of mind before deciding whether to restore him to the starting line-up after a protracted move to Leeds broke down on Friday.

Frazer Richardson (foot), Rob Milsom (ankle) and Mark Bradley (knee) continue to occupy the treatment room as the Millers aim to protect their unbeaten home record which stretches back to New Year's Day.

Watford will be without defender Joel Ekstrand through suspension.

The Swede was sent off after just two minutes of Saturday's 3-0 defeat by Norwich following an off-the-ball clash with Nathan Redmond and starts a three-match ban.

Lloyd Doyley could return to the backline in place of Ekstrand if he can shake off the hamstring problem which kept him sidelined at the weekend.

Defender Craig Cathcart and winger Ikechi Anya are set to miss out again with knee injuries.
