AFC Bournemouth vs Brentford preview - Cherries to ring the changes

Bournemouth will make a raft of changes for the visit of Brentford.

The Cherries changed their entire starting line-up for the 2-0 Capital One Cup victory at Exeter on Tuesday evening and boss Eddie Howe is likely to revert to the XI that thrashed Huddersfield 4-0 on the opening day last weekend.

That means two-goal debutant Callum Wilson will partner Yann Kermorgant with Lee Camp returning in goal. The likes of Matt Ritchie, Tommy Elphick and Charlie Daniels will also return to the fold.

Elliott Ward captained the Cherries at St James Park having recovered from a knee injury and the defender will hope to have done enough to keep his place in the squad.

Brentford will check on Tommy Smith and Niko Yennaris after both limped off during Tuesday's epic 6-6 Capital One Cup draw with Dagenham.

Veteran midfielder Smith tweaked his groin but should be fit, while full-back Yennaris will be assessed after taking a kick to his back.

Summer signing Scott Hogan is back in training following the ankle injury which has delayed his debut but he is unlikely to be risked against the Cherries.

David Button is set to return in goal despite Richard Lee's penalty heroics in the shoot-out win over the Daggers.
