Jonathan Forte could return to Lee Johnson's starting line-up against Leyton Orient after being rested in the 3-0 Capital One Cup defeat to Middlesbrough.
Forte opened his account on the first day of the season with a double in the 2-2 draw at Colchester and he was praised by manager Johnson, who said the summer signing from Southampton will be a big player for the Latics this season.
George Elokobi may make keep his place after making his first start for the club against Boro.
Elokobi joined the club on Friday and he made a late appearance off the substitutes' bench against the U's before starting in the midweek clash. Forward Rhys Turner will miss out as he is a long-term absence with a grade-two hip flexor injury.
Darius Henderson could return to the Orient squad after missing Tuesday's Capital One Cup penalty shoot-out win at Plymouth with a neck injury.
But fellow striker Chris Dagnall is set to miss out again with the ankle problem which has kept him sidelined for both games so far this season .
The midweek win came at a cost for boss Russell Slade with midfielder Lloyd James (knee) and forward Shaun Batt (calf) limping off, with both doubtful for Saturday.
But defender Scott Cuthbert could return to the starting line-up after a groin injury.
