Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have signed full-back Jesus Gamez from Malaga on a three-year contract.
The 29-year-old has spent his entire career at La Rosaleda, making 266 league appearances for Malaga, but swaps the south coast for the capital and a shot at defending the Primera Division title.
Atletico director of sport Jose Luis Perez Caminero told the club's official website: "Gamez is a right-back with quality and expertise that strengthens our defence and improves the verticality of the team."
"His versatility will allow us to variate our defensive plays and his experience will be useful to the group."
Gamez passed a medical on Friday morning before committing himself to three seasons at the Vicente Calderon.
Heading out of Madrid is French midfielder Josuha Guilavogui, who has moved to Wolfsburg on a two-year loan.
The 23-year-old arrived from St Etienne in September but failed to make an impact at Atletico and rejoined Les Verts for the rest of the 2013-14 season.
An Atletico statement wished Guilavogui good luck in his new role with the Bundesliga outfit.
Wolfsburg's director of sport Klaus Allofs said of the Guilavogui deal: "We're very pleased to have been able to strengthen our squad with a young player who has a lot of potential.
"Josuha Guilavogui already has a lot of international experience and he will play his part in furthering our team's progress."
Player coach Dieter Hecking added: "He's a midfielder who is very versatile defensively. I'm convinced he'll slot in well and improve the team further."
