Keylor Navas in Madrid

Keylor Navas touched down at the Adolfo Suarez-Barajas airport in Madrid just past 11:00 local time from Costa Rica's San Jose, accompanied by his wife, model Andrea Salas, daughter Daniela and four-month-old son, Mateo.

The Real Madrid keeper was greeted by a large crowd of football fans. Some fellow Costa Ricans were present wearing T-shirts with their country's colours, eager to welcome him to the capital, his new home from home.

His official presentation will take place in the Santiago Bernabéu's VIP box tomorrow, Tuesday. There, the club's president Florentino Perez will welcome him to 'La Casa Blanca'.

The ex-Levante goalkeeper played a great season last year, with 160 saves and receiving just 39 goals. After some fine performances in Brazil, it remains to be seen whether the newbie will be able to knock Casillas off the top spot as Real's nº1 shotstopper.
