Kroos: "Real? Now's not the time to talk"

Toni Kroos let slip a smile when he was asked about Real Madrid. He expected the question and was ready to answer it. "Now's not the time to talk about that sort of thing. My mind is focussed on Germany and the goal of winning the World Cup. That's what's important right now".

At the second attempt, the Bayern Munich central midfielder insisted, "I've got a contract with Bayern 'till 2015 and over the last five months I've had plenty of similar situations. When it's not Real, it's United. They're great teams, just as Bayern is. If there's a decision to be made, it'll be after the World Cup".

This is the politically correct message that Kroos wanted to put across, after MARCA had revealed that the deal between Bayern and Real is nearly complete and that player's agreement has been finalised.

If Bayern don't agree to the transfer this summer, Kroos will be able to negotiate with whoever he wants from 1st January.
