World Cup brings a slowdown in legal proceedings - Brazil shield Neymar

Neymar's legal problems aren't limited to Spain. In Brazil, there is also a lawsuit against the footballer, his father, Barcelona and Santos. Grupo DIS, who owned 40% of the player's rights during his time at Santos, started legal proceedings as soon as they realised they would receive significantly less than the amount of money they believe they should have been given regarding the Brazilian star's transfer.
However, Grupo DIS have encountered several stumbling blocks throughout the process. A huge footballing nation, Brazil do not want to distract Neymar during the World Cup. He is the star of the team and carries the hopes and dreams of the entire South American nation, so any legal proceedings involving Neymar have been shelved for now.
MARCA contacted Grupo DIS, who summed up the situation: "Barcelona and Santos have responded to official requests with unfounded information. Proceedings have now started against Barcelona, Santos, N&N, Neymar Sr. and Neymar Jr.
DIS explained that "there is already an ongoing investigation against N&N, Neymar Sr. and the player himself. Both Brazil's Federal Revenue Department and Grupo DIS have already been called to testify."
Even though news of Spain's Prosecutors' ruling was met with optimism, DIS aren't expecting any short-term developments. They trust that the process will pick up speed after the World Cup. "The process is going slowly here because of the World Cup...", they lamented.
