Parma vs Sampdoria preview - Donadoni: No more slips

Parma will be eager to claim the three points they need to remain in the race for Europa League football next season when they host Sampdoria on Sunday.

The Ducale club slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Cagliari in the last round and head into this weekend's game at the Ennio Tardini stadium in ninth place, one point adrift of Torino, who are sixth and hold the last European qualifying spot.

"It's crucial for us to win this game," Parma coach Roberto Donadoni said. "We have three games remaining and we could win all of them provided we play smart.

"We cannot make the same mistake we made at Cagliari and think we face an easy game just because our rivals are below us in the standings.

"We have to be focused in every game regardless of who we play."

Donadoni will be without defender Felipe for their last three encounters.

The Brazilian player was sent off last weekend for hitting rival defender Luca Rossettini in the face and has been punished with a three-match ban for violent conduct.

"A player of his experience should not have reacted like he did," Donadoni said. "It's a pity because he is an important player but he should know better."

A minute's silence will be observed ahead of the encounter in memory of legendary coach Vujadin Boskov.

The Serbian tactician, who guided Samp to their only scudetto in 1991, died earlier this week.

Samp go into the contest on the back of an invigorating 2-1 triumph over Chievo.

The outcome, Samp's second win in seven games, allowed the Blucerchiati to halt a three-match losing streak and climb to 12th place.

Samp coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will have all of his players available for the game with the exception of suspended defender Shkodran Mustafi and injured midfielder Pedro Obiang.
