Hamilton FC vs Alloa Athletic preview - Duo banned for Accies

Second-placed Hamilton Accies miss the suspended Ziggy Gordon and Stephen Hendrie when they host an Alloa side that won at New Douglas Park earlier in the season.

Player/manager Alex Neil could also be without Jonathan Routledge and James Keatings through injury as they look to keep up their title push.

Neil said: "We fell behind Dundee last week when we drew at Livingston and the biggest disappointment was actually the way we played. We fought back to get a point with 10 men, which was great, however we can play better.

"Alloa will hit us on the counter attack and we need to be ready for that."

Alloa will give Stephen Simmons a late fitness test for what is also a crucial match for the Wasps, who are aiming to survive in the Championship.

Jason Marr is out with a thigh injury and Liam Lindsay misses out with a knee problem.

Manager Barry Smith said: "We are going to face Hamilton on the back of a good win over Morton where we created chances throughout the game.

"We know that we need to match Cowdenbeath's result against Livingston to be sure of staying up. However, I would rather we went out and got the win and stayed up under our own merits."
