Queen of the South vs Morton preview - McIntyre has options

Queen of the South manager Jim McIntyre has a full squad to choose from for the visit of doomed Morton after Stephen McKenna shrugged off a hip injury.

McIntyre is looking for his men to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat against Dundee in midweek and take another step towards securing a play-off place.

He said: "We played well at Dens Park but the crucial ingredient of turning opportunities into goals was missing. Despite their position Morton will come here determined to do well and the only way we will beat them is if we score goals.

"The best way to keep hold of fourth place is by winning games."

Morton, who could be relegated by the final whistle, will be without suspended striker Rowan Vine following his dismissal in the defeat to Cowdenbeath on Tuesday night.

Darren Cole looks set to miss out with a groin injury and he would join David O'Brien (hamstring), Ben Sampayo (knee) and Reece Hands (hip) on the sidelines.

Cappielow manager Kenny Shiels said: "We have to try and salvage something from our season in the last few games. Things are very bleak and we will keep fighting relegation as long as we can - starting at Queen of the South."
