Livingston vs Dumbarton preview - Mensing missing for Livingston

Posted Friday, March 28, 2014 by PA

Livingston will again be without captain Simon Mensing against Dumbarton.

Mensing has an ankle injury while Ross Docherty also continues to be missing with a groin problem and a hamstring injury keeps Andrew Barrowman absent.

Livingston are looking to move six points clear of their opponents in the race for a play-off place.

Manager John McGlynn said: "Our play-off chase is definitely on after good wins over Raith and Alloa. We have to beat Dumbarton to keep the pressure on Queen of the South in fourth place.

"Dumbarton won here earlier in the season so we know that we will have to play well to get the three points."

Dumbarton go looking for a third win in a row at the Energy Assets Arena without midfielder Hugh Murray, who is suspended after being sent off against Falkirk in midweek.

Full-back Scott Linton is struggling to make it due to a recurrence of a hamstring injury.

Manager Ian Murray is looking for his men to return to good form.

He said: "We have lost our last two games but we put in very different performances. Against Dundee last Saturday we played really well and deserved to take something from the game, but against Falkirk we were poor.

"We have a bit of work to do to clinch a play-off place."
