Dundee vs Falkirk preview - McBride boost for Dark Blues

Championship leaders Dundee will have Kevin McBride available against Falkirk.

McBride has recovered from a head injury but Stephen O'Donnell remains out for the Dark Blues with a knee problem and Kyle Benedictus is suspended.

"Falkirk will view this as a great chance to narrow the gap, but if we keep doing what we have been doing then we can get another win," said Dundee manager Paul Hartley.

"We have had seven shut outs in eight games and that solidity gives us a great platform to win games."

Falkirk will be without Phil Roberts as they look to get back in the title chase.

The striker is beginning a six-match ban. Roberts was sent off last weekend at Alloa and has had his one-game suspension increased as punishment for kicking and then throwing a bucket of ice in the Bairns' technical area on his way off the pitch.

Good news for the Bairns though is that Kieran Duffie should return after injury.

Technical Director Alex Smith said: "We are not giving anything up so we are going out looking for the win. They don't lose many goals but we can score, so it should be very interesting."
