Dunfermline 1 : 2 East Fife - Austin sinks Pars

A late goal from Nathan Austin saw East Fife beat second-placed Dunfermline 2-1 at East End Park.

Dunfermline, who have not won in four, took the lead after 22 minutes when Lawrence Shankland finished right footed from six yards out for his sixth of the season.

East Fife, who are struggling in ninth place, pulled level shortly after the break when Alex Whittle brought down Liam Buchanan inside the area.

Buchanan dispatched the spot kick and the game looked to be heading for a draw.

But with eight minutes to go Austin finished into the bottom right corner from close range to give his side a first win in nine games.
