Dundee missed the opportunity to go three points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship after a 0-0 stalemate against Raith Rovers at Dens Park.
Raith produced the best chance of the first half when Joe Cardle's effort from the edge of the box was tipped away by Kyle Letheren in the Dee goal but the onrushing John Baird was unable to squeeze the ball home.
Letheren was called to action on the stroke of half-time as he dived low to his right to turn away Baird's effort.
Dundee came out more positive in the second 45, with Lee Robinson forced to make a solid stop from Martin Boyle just after the restart.
However, the Dee were unable to transform this momentum into a vital goal, with their best effort coming when substitute Ryan Conroy headed Willie Dyer's cross just wide with 12 minutes to go.
