Dunfermline vs East Fife preview - Grainger banned for East Fife clash

Dunfermline are without the suspended Danny Grainger against neighbours East Fife.

Grainger was sent off in the Pars' defeat against Rangers last weekend.

Goalkeeper Ryan Scully could feature despite dislocating a toe at Ibrox and Josh Falkingham is set to start after a knock.

However, Jordan Moore remains sidelined with a leg injury and Ryan Wallace is a doubt.

Dunfermline have not defeated their visitors at home since 1978 and manager Jim Jefferies is out to change that this weekend.

He said: "There has not been that many games, however we lost the last one on a day we should have won. We will be looking to put that right."

East Fife, with only two points from their last eight games, are again hit by injuries with Joe Mbu (knee), David Cowan (hamstring), Ross Brown (ankle), Gary Fisher (elbow) and Scott McBride (hip) all ruled out.

Manager Gary Naysmith ordered his men in for extra training this week after their 5-0 defeat against Ayr last weekend

The Bayview boss said: "We never showed up for the game against Ayr and we suffered a defeat that hurt me badly and I hope it hurt the players badly as well.

"We have worked hard this week in preparation for the game against Dunfermline as we simply have to do better."
