PARIS Saint-Germain are plotting a sensational £40m bid for new Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj.
Januzaj has made a big impression in his debut season at Old Trafford
The French champions had a £15m offer for the teenager rejected in last month’s transfer window.
But PSG bosses are refusing to drop their interest in Januzaj and are putting together a massive offer for the 19-year-old this summer.
Januzaj signed a new long-term deal at Old Trafford in October worth £30,000-a-week.
United chief executive Ed Woodward rejected PSG’s first bid and made it clear to the big-spenders that Januzaj is not for sale.
Current PSG boss Blanc is hoping to raid his former club for their star talent
But PSG boss Laurent Blanc is refusing to give-up on Januzaj and remains convinced he can lure the winger to Paris.
Blanc is hoping to take advantage of United’s demise this season and is willing to offer Januzaj a £100,000-a-week deal that would make him one of the highest paid teenagers in the world.
he news that one of the richest clubs in the world want Januzaj will be a huge headache for United boss David Moyes.
He believes Januzaj can go on to become one of the greatest stars of the modern era and will fight tooth and nail to keep him in Manchester.
But United are becoming a less appealing option to the game’s leading stars following their fall from grace this season.
The champions are languishing in seventh place and find themselves out of the title race.
To make matters worse United are out of both the FA and Capital One Cups and face a desperate fight to even secure a top four finish this season.
Moyes could be set for yet more transfer woe with Vidic potentially heading to Inter Milan
Failing to secure Champions League football next season would be a hammer blow to Moyes and have a huge impact on his plans to rebuild his team.
Those plans revolve around the likes of Januzaj, but Moyes knows he cannot compete with the likes of PSG if the mega-bucks outfit make the starlet an offer he cannot refuse.
Meanwhile Italian giants Inter Milan have emerged as the favourites to sign United captain Nemanja Vidic.
Vidic is out of contract at the end of the season and has not agreed a new deal with United.
A host of European clubs are keen on landing the Serbian defender, but Inter bosses are expected to win the race to sign the 32-year-old.
