MANCHESTER CITY have been branded lucky - by two of their title rivals.
THEY ARE LUCKY: Jose Mourinho said City have had a lot crucial decisions go their way
Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger reckon City are top after getting a huge helping hand from Premier League officials.
Chelsea boss Mourinho said: “The reality is they have many crucial decisions in their favour.
“They are lucky. Against Liverpool, a Sterling ‘goal’ was ruled out, a penalty on Suarez not given.
“Against Newcastle, there was a goal from Cheick Tiote that was a clear goal.
“Against Tottenham, Michael Dawson’s goal was ruled out, the penalty City were given, the red card for Danny Rose.
ANOTHER LUCKY BREAK: Jose Mourinho said City were given a lucky penalty against Tottenham
“They are having everything. It is just pure coincidence.
“The referees try to do their best and sometimes they make mistakes and normally during the season the mistakes are split.
“But at the moment they have everything in their favour.
“The players and team are very good, and the manager is working very well.”
Arsenal boss Wenger also reckoned City had got all the breaks in their 5-1 win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
LIVING A CHARMED LIFE: Arsene Wenger thinks that City are getting all the breaks
He said: “If you analyse it well this game could have turned as well. All the turning points went in their favour.
“If they had not gone that way, you’re not sure they would have won the game.”
Mourinho yesterday completed a £12.5m deal for 19-year-old defender Kurt Zouma from St Etienne.
The teenager will stay with his French side on loan for the rest of the summer, with the Chelsea boss explaining: “If we don’t do it now, probably we can’t do it in the summer because other clubs were also very strong on him.”
