Glasgow Rangers vs East Fife preview - Double trouble for Rangers

Posted Friday, January 10, 2014 by PA

Leaders Rangers are set to be without Nicky Clark and Arnold Peralta for their Scottish League One clash at home to East Fife.

Clark will have a scan on a foot problem on Monday, while Peralta is suspended for the encounter. Bilel Mohsni returns from a ban.

Steven Smith and David Templeton are sidelined along with longer-term casualties Chris Hegarty and Ross Perry, although Lewis Macleod has a chance of returning from a calf strain.

East Fife head to Ibrox with injury doubts over midfielder Ross Brown and striker Nathan Austin, while goalkeeper Michael Andrews drops out of contention after agreeing a move to Berwick.

Manager Gary Naysmith is looking for his side to build on fine periods of play in their first two meetings with Rangers.

He said: "We have lost to them twice but in the first game we created lots of chances and in the second game we were very good defensively for the first half.

"If we can do both of these things in the one performance for 90 minutes then we are in with a chance."
