Raith Rovers vs Dundee preview - Cardle back for Rovers

Raith Rovers will welcome back Joe Cardle from a two-game ban when they host Championship leaders Dundee at Stark's Park.

Reece Donaldson is also available after his loan deal at Peterhead was cut short at the request of the Kirkcaldy club.

Injuries continue to rule out goalkeeper David McGurn (Achilles), Grant Anderson (knee) and Grieg Spence (hamstring) as Rovers look to make up for Saturday's 3-0 defeat by Livingston.

Manager Grant Murray said: "This will be a tough game, however we are determined to be positive after Saturday's result.

"We beat Dundee in the Scottish Cup recently and they will be out to make up for that."

Dundee are without former Rovers favourite Iain Davidson, who is suspended, with Craig Beattie and Craig Wighton both ruled out with knee injuries.

Nicky Riley is struggling after picking up a knock in Saturday's 3-0 win over Dumbarton.

Dens Park assistant manager Ray Farningham said: "Raith will be hurt after losing to Livingston and will be out to hit back. The three games between the sides this season have been very tight and I do not see this one being any different.

"We are gaining some momentum after losing to Cowdenbeath and we want to keep that going with a win at a tough venue."
