At the end of May two sculptors began the work of immortalising the player in wax after taking almost an hour to compile the measurements of his body. Today's event took place outside the Madrid museum and in front of a number of onlookers who wanted to see both the wax version of the player and the real thing. The model depicts the Real Madrid star bolt upright with his two legs apart and staring directly ahead in the strip of the Portugal national team.
