Dunfermline 3 : 1 Brechin City - Wallace has grand day out

Posted Sunday, November 24, 2013 by PA

Ryan Wallace netted a brace as high-flying Dunfermline beat 10-man Brechin 3-1.

The Pars opened the scoring in the third minute when Wallace steered the ball past Brechin keeper Graeme Smith from the middle of the box.

The hosts doubled their lead 20 minutes later when Ryan Thompson's right-footed drive found the back of the net.

Things went from bad to worse for City in the 59th minute when substitute Stuart Anderson was dismissed for a foul on Wallace just five minutes after coming off the bench.

The visitors pulled one back 10 minutes from the end when Paul McLean found the bottom corner but Wallace had the final word when he tapped in from close range seven minutes later.
