Genoa vs Chievo preview - Gasperini is looking up

Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes his team can do well this season despite their poor start to the campaign.
The Grifoni have won just one of their seven games and head into Sunday's fixture at home to Chievo in 15th place.
Gasperini, who replaced sacked Fabio Liverani last month, is nevertheless confident his team can compete in Serie A.
"Here we have everything we need to do a great job," he said. "There's an atmosphere here that ensures you do good work.
"The league table shows we've had some difficulty and we are almost midway through the first half of the season.
"So to begin with we'll have to be more solid than beautiful. But hopefully the team can grow into a strong group."
Genoa's main problem has been in attack, with the Grifoni having found the net just six times in seven games.
To complicate matters for Gasperini, Italian striker Emanuele Calaio has sustained a thigh injury and is ruled out.
Genoa will be hoping Alberto Gilardino will increase his goal tally with the Italian forward having struck just once in seven games.
Chievo will head to Genoa also looking to turn around their fortunes.
The Flying Donkeys go into the encounter in Liguria on the back of three straight losses.
A 1-0 defeat at home to Atalanta saw the Verona side drop to 17th position, one point clear of the relegation zone.
"The game against Genoa will be a difficult one but I love to play at the Luigi Ferraris stadium," said Chievo striker Cyril Thereau.
"It is a beautiful stadium. We hope we can play a good game and take home a win."
Chievo have won just once this season, a 2-1 triumph against Udinese on September 21.
