Glasgow Rangers vs Stenhousemuir preview - Black back for Rangers

Posted Friday, September 27, 2013 by PA

Ian Black will return to the Rangers squad for Saturday's League One visit of Stenhousemuir after serving a three-match suspension for breaking betting rules.

The midfielder was handed a 10-game ban - seven of which were suspended - but is now free to play after missing matches against Arbroath, Queen of the South and Forfar.

Lewis Macleod could also return after sitting out the 1-0 win over the Loons at Station Park with a knee injury but Sebastien Faure, Kyle Hutton, Ross Perry and Chris Hegarty are all unavailable with knocks.

Stenhousemuir travel to Ibrox for their first ever league game against Rangers without experienced midfielder David Rowson, who is set for surgery to fix a knee problem.

Everyone else in the Ochilview squad is available to manager Martyn Corrigan, who is promising that his side will attack the league leaders.

Corrigan said: "Rangers have a budget that other teams in this league can only dream about, but we are looking to go there and have a go.

"We have good strikers and they have the chance to shine on a big stage.

"Hopefully they will take it and as long as everyone gives 100 per cent we will be happy."
