The striker, who has been linked with a number of sides this summer including Chelsea and Napoli, looks set to swap clubs in the coming fortnight
Anzhi Makhachkala have confirmed that Samuel Eto'o will "probably not" be at the club at the end of the summer transfer window.
Clubs such as Chelsea, Napoli and many more have been linked with the veteran striker on mega-money wages since the owner Suleiman Kerimov decided he wanted to slash costs at the Russian team.
Igor Denisov, Yuri Zhirkov and Aleksandr Kokorin joined Dinamo Moscow earlier in August, while Willian looks set to move to Stamford Bridge having shunted interest from Tottenham.
Anzhi's exodus looks set to continue following assistant coach Haji Hajiyev's statement that the Cameroonian forward, 32, is unlikely to be around at the end of the summer transfer window.
When asked if Eto'o would remain at Anzhi, Hajiyev is quoted by the club's official website as responding: "Probably not".
Meanwhile, Christopher Samba looks set to stay despite exit rumours, having only rejoined the club - he left in January - in the summer, as does Lacina Traore.
"Lacina Traore and Chris Samba are staying for now," Hajiyev added. "But everything can change."
