No Tito-Guardiola face-off

Tito Vilanova's resignation as Barcelona's first-team coach will avoid a face-off between the two Catalan managers at next Wednesday 24th July's match between Bayern Munich and Barcelona at the Allianz Arena.
Following the recent spat of controversy, which included a string of statements from both managers, who until recently had been inseparable, the world will now miss out on the summer's highly anticipated images of both managers coaching their own teams from separate dugouts.
Joan Francesc Ferrer 'Rubi', who arrived from Girona this summer at the personal request of Tito Vilanova, had been tipped to take over as caretaker manager for Saturday's match against Lechia Gdansk in Poland, but this fixture has since been cancelled. No other clues are known about the possible new incumbent of the Camp Nou dugout.
