Di María not for sale

Another Real Madrid player who may not be sold this summer – apart from Kaká – is Argentine Ángel Di María, despite speculation linking him with other clubs. The winger has been on the radar of top European clubs, such as Manchester City and PSG, but the Madrid club directors believe the player still has more to give the Bernabéu faithful, despite being far from his best last season.

Another key factor why the Argentine is staying at Madrid – at least this season – is Tottenham's refusal to negotiate for the sale of Gareth Bale. The Welshman could be a replacement for Di María, but the transfer is currently at a standstill. "We're delighted that he's staying", said Florentino earlier in the week.
