Thiago Silva: "I want to go to Barca"

Although PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has clearly stated that Thiago Silva is not for sale, it's still uncertain whether the Brazilian defender will spend next season with the French club. The player has been seduced by a move to Barcelona, having had his head turned by his Brazilian teammate Dani Alves, whom he recently won the Confederations Cup with.
Thiago Silva has told those close to him that he'd like to move to Barça. In fact, he wanted to move to the 'Azulgranas' last summer, but a commitment he had with Leonardo, PSG's director of football, led to him moving to Paris instead. Thiago Silva feels his debt has been paid off now, and he's very keen on moving on again.
There are also two other factors to take into account. The first is Tito Vilanova's interest, with the manager personally contacting the player to request that he joins the Barcelona squad. The second is Carlo Ancelotti's move to Madrid. It was the Italian coach that signed the defender from Milan as an important building block in his PSG project, but Ancelotti's not there anymore, so the Brazilian feels free to seek pastures new too.
His departure is not so definitively ruled out as it would otherwise appear at PSG either. In fact, the French club is very close to bringing in David Luiz, which would be an essential step for the club agreeing to negotiate a potential deal for Thiago Silva to leave.
