Rexach: "Barça needs to find another decisive player"

Neymar's signing is one of the issues which most concerns Barça at the moment: "Neymar is a different kind of player".

Rexach:

Carles Rexach talked to Radio about Barça. The former player said that the league title is well deserved: "It's been a Liga with lots of problems. Tito, Abidal... In spite of everything, the team has managed to push forward and that makes it even more commendable. It's been a special Liga."

Neymar's signing is one of the issues which most concerns Barça at the moment: "Neymar is a different kind of player. We can't be too reliant on a single player, which is the case with Messi. The solution is to look for another decisive player, because it looks like Barça gets into trouble when Messi's injured. Signing him might get more expensive, because Florentino wants him as well."

Rexach sees Vilanova as highly motivated: "I know Tito very well, He's a strong lad and the only thing that can keep him from coaching the team is the illness he had. He's absolutely great. I think he will continue because he has the strength for this and a lot more. Mentally, he's very strong."

When asked about Real Madrid, Rexach said: "I give them top marks. They started by making some mistakes at the beginning of the season, but it's a team that's put pressure on Barça right until the very end. We've seen two very similar seasons. If Real wins the cup, to some extent that will save its season, and it won't be a write-off for not having won anything."

He also mentioned Mourinho: "He hasn't done at all badly in his time there with the titles he's won, although I'm sure there are people who think differently."
