Premier League Team of the Week: Rosicky & Aguero make the cut

The Manchester City striker's impressive cameo against Manchester United is enough to fire him into our latest selection, while James Milner and Gael Clichy are also included

A weekend of wonder strikes was capped by Sergio Aguero's fine solo effort on Monday evening.

The Argentine's derby winner allowed Manchester City to restore some pride ahead of their likely Premier League title loss to Sir Alex Ferguson's side this season, while James Milner - who netted the opening goal at Old Trafford - and the impressive Gael Clichy also feature in our Team of the Week.

Elsewhere, Tomas Rosicky's double in a dazzling display for Arsenal against West Brom on Saturday has handed the 32-year-old a spot in our TOTW for the first time this season. Including Rosicky and Clichy, there are a whopping seven TOTW debutants in total.

Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman made our selection for the first time this season for his influential performance against Norwich City, while Tottenham's Gylfi Sigurdsson was handed a place after his late goal rescued a draw for Tottenham against Everton.

West Ham centre-back James Collins kept Luis Suarez at bay as Sam Allardyce's men earned a draw at Liverpool and another strong defensive display from Tim Krul denied Fulham at St James' Park as Pappis Cisse's late effort handed Newcastle victory.

Meanwhile, Loic Remy's superb strike against Wigan deserved to secure more than just a point for QPR in their bid for survival and Aston Villa full-back Matthew Lowton makes the cut for the second time this season following his impressive display against Stoke City which was capped by a stunning long-range goal.
