Fergie's burn-out fears for star striker as Van runs out of gas

ALEX FERGUSON fears Robin van Persie could be starting to feel the pace of his explosive first season at Manchester United.
ROCKIN' ROBIN ... Van Persie has wobbled
The Dutchman has scored just once in his last 12 games for the league leaders, as his winner at Sunderland on Saturday went down as a Titus Bramble own goal.
RVP, who has 23 goals for his club this term, also missed a sitter in United’s FA Cup defeat at Chelsea on Monday.
And boss Fergie said: “We have to monitor Robin because we still don’t know all about him and the kind of seasons he’s had.
“I don’t think he had a season of such intensity when he was at Arsenal, so we will have to look at that.
“But Danny Welbeck’s looking fine, as is Chicharito.
“And I have no worries about Wayne Rooney. He needs games and is the kind of player who has to play all the time.”
