I have a say

After a long injury layoff, U.S. international defender Steve Cherundolo has finally made his return to the field.

Cherundolo played the full match in Hannover's 0-0 draw with Stuttgart on Sunday, his first action since a German Cup match against Borussia Dortmund on Dec. 19.

The 34-year-old left that game with a left knee problem, and the injury did not improve as initially hoped. After making a return to training in January, Cherundolo experienced a setback, and underwent arthroscopic surgery in February.

The veteran right back has missed all three of the USA's Hexagonal matches thus far, but he should be a part of Jurgen Klinsmann's plans if he stays healthy.
